The Language Store provides language tuition in Bishopston in the north of Bristol, a short drive away from Bath, and near Redland, Clifton, St Andrews, Montpelier, Stokes Croft and Kingsdown.

Private tuition for general conversation, people who want to learn for pleasure or who simply want to brush up on their French or Spanish. Private tuition is also provided for students who are taking GCSEs or A levels at school and feel that they need that extra help with reading, writing, speaking or listening.

Private classes one-to-one or two students with the same level take place in my flat off the Gloucester Road, two minutes walk from Zetland Road.

SEPTEMBER - 2010

SPANISH BEGINNERS FOR PARENT WITH BABY/TODDLER

As a mum myself I understand how important it is for mums and dads with young babies and children to keep up with their personal interests while not feeling guilty about not being with their little one! So, I am bringing to Bishopston the first Spanish group classes for adults, where they can bring their little ones.

Mums or dads will be able to come and learn Spanish for themselves, but we will be working on activities and vocabulary that parents will be able to use at home with their kids as well, so they can have a head-start in language learning as a nice family activity.

During the lessons mums or dads will be able to breast-feed or bottle-feed the babies, or older toddlers can eat their snacks. However children will be required to cry in Spanish or French! We will end each lesson learning some children's songs to help with learning basic vocabulary, and so parents have something they can share with their children.

Any student attending these sessions must expect a degree of disruption because of children's needs, and we can't expect 100% silence. Taking this into account the course has been priced accordingly.

French Refresher Beginners: Tuesday, 12pm - 1pm, first Tuesday 7th September, last Tuesday 19th October. Provisional venue: St Michael's Church, Gloucester Road.
